Playground of Promise, Pickens

The Playground of Promise is a perfect example of the "volunteer spirit" in Pickens. Funded in part by a local industry, it was the hundreds of volunteers working together who built the playground to give endless hours of enjoyment to all children, residents and visitors alike. This wonderfully designed playground has areas of play to suit all ages with picnic facilities available for public use. From downtown Pickens, take Hwy. 178 North. Drive about half a mile and turn left on Homestead Road. Playground is on the left.
